It is well recognized that Infertility is a problem of global proportions, affecting on average 12% couples worldwide. The research has shown that in developing countries in Asia and Africa, (where children are highly valued for economic and socio-cultural as well as personal reasons) childlessness often creates enormous problems for the women and men involved, within the couple, the extended family and the community at large.
The primary objective in transferring of Assisted Reproductive Technology (ART) and treatment protocols of Infertility Treatment and Management to Pakistan from Australia since 1997 has been to provide childless couples’ access to cutting edge quality ART services and to build public awareness about infertility treatment in Pakistan. I am very pleased to see the Concept Fertility Centre Pakistan is today a premier IVF practice led by team of eminent Consultant Gynaecologists, Endocrinologists, Urologists, Clinical Embryologists and Scientists consistently accomplishing the highest success rate in Pakistan.
I would like to thank each of you for attending the Concept Fertility Centre First International Conference in Karachi and bringing your expertise, insights and experience in the Assisted Reproductive Technology to this gathering. I extend my gratitude to Professor Dr Sadiah Ahsan Pal, Medical Director and Convenor, Mr Shahid Shakur, CEO and Dr Kiran Shahid, Consultant Adviser, as organization leaders for their vision and commitment who have worked very hard in successfully accomplishing to arrange this event.
